Floral and Decor

Kim Raddysh, owner and principle stylist of Wedding Event and Design Studios has unveiled her new 5000 sq. ft. warehouse now open in Maple Ridge offering decor and floral design. I had the opportunity to go and check it out and I was very impressed. I love the idea that couples can go in and walk around her studio and touch and feel the products she has to offer. By doing so, it will give you a better sense of how your ceremony and reception will look, which in turn, will give you some peace of mind on the actual day.
Kim and her team will work with you to help you define your ideas and unique wedding style. She also offers you the choice of using her team to set up and tear down, or renting the products and doing it yourself. This is a great option especially if you have a budget to consider.
Rentals Include:
-Linens and chair covers in an array of colors and fabrics
-Lighting and unique glasswear such as tall vases and candle holders
-Pillars, urns and wrought iron pieces
The list goes on. Have a look at her website and go and check it out!

Setting the Stage
My showcase vendor this month is par avion design, a unique and distictive stationary company. Crissy Giesbrecht is the founder and designer, and her work is fresh, artistic, and appealing. Each invitation she creates is unique and is an expression of the couple and their wedding day.
” Couples should have special designs for their weddings as it sets the tone and gives their guests something to look forward to.” says Crissy.
Trends this season:
“Different papers and luxurious materials such as fabrics, velvets, satin ribbons and fine papers are hot, and most couples love embellishments from eyelets to Swarovski crystals.”
Have a look at at her work. I’m sure you’ll agree that her designs are stunning.
Wedding Graffiti
Are you looking for something really unique to add to your wedding decor? Something that your guests will talk about after your celebration? Then I have found that “something”. Its called Wonderful Wedding Graffiti and it’s a company that produces pieces of matte vinyl that looks printed when applied to smooth surfaces. There are a variety of colors, fonts and verses to choose from, or you can create your own. They look great on focal points in your hall, wedding car, or on dance floors. There is a $25.00 usd charge to ship to Canada with a 2-3 week turnaround, and if you book any service with me, you’ll receive a 15% discount on your order. Have a look at their web site, I’m sure you’ll fall in love with the idea as I have!
