Vancouver Wedding Consultants Blog
Let’s get Organized!

Happy New Year! Some of you may have gotten engaged over the holiday season and are anxious to get started on the planning process. You may be tempted to buy one of those really pretty wedding planning books, but I wouldn’t start shopping just yet. It’s been my experience that most of those book, are really quite useless. You will have a lot of thoughts and ideas that you will want to keep track of and those book simply can’t hold all that information. I suggest buying a 2” binder and fill it with tab dividers, business card holders, and sheet protctors. Label each section. Ie: Ceremony and Reception, Photography, Flowers and Decor etc..Then, take all those magazines that you bought and go through them and take out anything that peaks your interest and place it in then appropriate section. This binder is your wedding lifeline. It will now go with you everywhere you go and will hold your brochures, fabric swatches, contracts, contact information etc. This is important to have with you as you meet with potential vendors as it will give them a better understanding of your vision for that special day. I guarntee that this binder will serve its purpose better than one of those fancy books and it far less expensive!
Bellissima Weddings
I finally got my blog up and running! Yahhh! I’m hoping to use this as a tool to help educate couples on planning their big day as well to promote vendors and their services, and any events that may be of interest to you.
For the past few years I have helped friends and family plan their big day and have learned a lot along the way. My passion and enthusiasm for this business continues to grow and this is why I decided to open Bellissima Wedding Consulting. It can take upwards of 250 hours to plan a wedding and when that big day finally arrives, you want yo make sure that all runs smooth and have as little stress as possible. That is where a wedding consultant comes in. Many couples do the entire planning process, but hire a consultant to manage the rehearsal, ceremony and reception. By doing this, they allow their friends and family to sit back and enjoy the day and they can be assured that all necessary things are done and any problems that may arise will be managed.
Hiring a consultant is very reasonable and I tell couples to work it into their budget as it’s money well spent. It’s important that you walk away from your wedding with the feeling that you will always remeber it as if it were yesterday. If you try to take on all the responsibility, that may not happen. A wedding consultant is an extension of you. She’ll know exactly what you want and how you want it, thus giving you peace of mind on that amazing day!
Good luck to you and enjoy the adventure of planning your big big.
